1000 Feet of Street

1000 Feet of Street
Saturday, October 15th

On Saturday, October 15, Litter and Beautification (Our “Make it Pretty Committee,”) along with our Adopt-A-Road program and Public Works Department, will be hard at work cleaning up some of our local roads!

Volunteers for this important program are always welcome and can contact Chris Rain at 570-223-8920 ext 119.

Supplies including bags, pickers, gloves and safety vests are all provided by the township as well as light refreshments.

Residents and businesses can also Adopt-A-Road and have a personalized sign placed on the road you adopted.

In April, 132 volunteers cleaned 18 miles of road along Marshalls Creek Road, Route 209, Barren Road, Wooddale Road, Sellersville Road and Tom X Road and filled 800 bags of trash.

Also, 156 participants in the Adopt-A-Road program clean areas along more than two dozen other township roads.

Thank you to all of our Spring 2016 “1000 Feet of Street” volunteers! We hope that our Fall 2016 event will be even more successful!
