Master Gardeners– Gardening Class

Enriching your life through gardening:
Classes for Gardeners by Gardeners

Monroe & Pike County Master Gardeners team up to give a series of gardening classes from 9am – 2pm on Saturday April 9th.

The Keynote Speaker is horticultural educator Emelie Swackamer, who will demonstrate endless possibilities in gardening.   The classes that follow are all taught by Master Gardeners and include

  • Herbs & Everlasting: Culinary to Creative by herbalist Coretal Walker;
  • Rain Gardens by aborist Mary Pat Appel;
  • miniature & Fairy Gardens (great for kids!) by author Pam Hubbard;

and based on the great success of Middle Smithfield Township’s newest park,

  • Developing a Community Garden by Township Supervisor and Master Gardener Annette Atkinson.
