Description of Program

Outstanding Business: Residents will be informed in the newsletter to make suggestions of businesses that are consistent in their clean appearance, maintenance and landscaping schedule. A form with specific criteria for judging is available. 

December Holiday Decorations: Residents will be informed in the Newsletter to make suggestions of homes or businesses that have unique holiday decorations. There are no criteria.

Adopt a Garden: Residents volunteer to adopt a garden. Sites that have been recommended are 60 Municipal Drive, Gravel Ridge, Coolbaugh / 402 and Firestone/402. the township could provide start up assistance in preparing the site and covering some cost. Local businesses could be requested to contribute to the cost or provide plants. 

Plant a Tree: Businesses along 209 voluntarily plant a tree on their property. 

Explosion of Color: Residents will be informed in the newsletter to make suggestions of homes that have picturesque flower gardens. 

Adopt a Road: Residents volunteer to adopt a road in their neighborhood and pick-up trash a minimum of twice a year. 

Information on these activities will be distributed to the Community News and given recognition in the Middle Smithfield Township newsletter.
