The Environmental Advisory Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the township building. These meeting are open to the public. The EAC is a citizen based advisory council that "advises local planning commissions and elected officials on matters dealing with the protection , conservation, management, promotion and use of natural resources within a municipality's territorial limits" The EAC is preparing an index of all open space, publicly and privately owned, including flood-prone areas, swaps, and other unique natural areas, for the purpose of obtaining information on the property use of such areas. Litter & Beautification is a subcommittee of the EAC. This committee began with keeping the community litter free by having a hand at creating the Adopt A Road Program, the Yard Sale Ordinance and most recently in upgrading our current Landscaping Ordinance.
