Smithfield Township Open Space Advisory Board meeting was called to order on October 2,2006
at 6:55 P.M. Members, Judy Putek,
Al Decker, John Ferro, Cecilia Boyer, Pat La
Peter, Joe Prinzo, Donna Hamilton, Maureen Krinsky, Fred May, and Pat A.
Griffin. Supervisor Scott Schaller was
present. Richard Hefner and Jeff Reichl also attended.
A motion to approve the September 4, 2006 minutes was made by Cecilia Boyer. Fred
May made the second. The minutes were
approved.
MARSHALLS CREEK
BYPASS
Solicitor, Jennifer Wise, is drafting a letter of first
refusal for the Oak Grove parcel.
COURTRIGHT
LANE
Cecilia Boyer, John Ferro and Al Decker
presented their impressions of the two
Courtright Lane parcels. They felt that the
10-acre parcel could provide parking for the Raughley property.

GRANT UPDATE
OTHER PROPERIES
Norman Drive John Ferro
researched the deed back to 1858. No restrictions for the number of houses that
could be built on the property were found.
Coolbaugh Drive 2 parcels (owned by the Boy Scouts) After discussion a motion to recommend that the Open Space
Advisory Board move forward with the acquisition process was made by John
Ferro. Al Decker seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
Judy Putek will present the recommendation to
the Board of Supervisors.
GATEWAY COMMUNITY
Cecilia Griffin will research Gateway Communities.
