Join us on Saturday November 30 at 6pm for the 7th Annual Tree Lighting ceremony at Echo Lake Park!
Celebrate the season with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Middle Smithfield Township as we light the tree. Music will be provided by the East Stroudsburg High School North Choir and Band. Cocoa from Exploria Resorts as well as photos with Santa will also be available. Parking will be available at the Marshall’s Square shopping center next to the park. Constables will be on hand to ensure safety.
The event begins at 6pm with music and cocoa. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive escorted by the Marshalls Creek Fire Company at 6:30 to light the tree, followed by a fireworks display. The Clauses will be available for pictures until 7:30.
The event is completely FREE to attend, and donations in the form of toys or non-perishable food items will be collected for Toys For Tots and Bushkill Outreach; two organizations that help share the cheer for families in need every holiday season and throughout the year.
“We all look forward to the tree lighting every year,” said Township Supervisor and Parks and Recreation Director Mike Dwyer. “The fireworks are a fantastic addition to the event. Our tree lighting is one of the most popular annual traditions in our community.”
Special thanks to our sponsors Scandale Associated Builders and Retro Fitness of Marshalls Creek. Thank you also to Santa’s helpers Bushkill Emergency Corps, Marshalls Square Shopping Mall, Eastern Monroe Public Library, Pocono Palace Resort, MST Constables, and the Pocono Photo Club.
