This is the bimonthly meeting of the Middle Smithfield Township Board of Supervisors.  Bimonthly meetings of the Board of Supervisors take place on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7pm, unless otherwise indicated.

You must register for the meeting in advance.  Please register for the zoom meeting here.  After registration, you will receive a confirmation by email with the link to the Zoom meeting.

This meeting will also be a public hearing for a proposed ordinance.  See below:

Notice is hereby given that the Middle Smithfield Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on August 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Middle Smithfield Township municipal building at 147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg, PA 18302, to receive public comment and to consider and possibly adopt an ordinance, of which this notice is a summary, amending Chapter 107, Fireworks Displays, of the Middle Smithfield Township Code of Ordinances by adding, amending and establishing requirements and regulations for the use of consumer and display fireworks within the Township and providing for penalties for violations.  The title of the proposed ordinance is as follows:  

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MIDDLE SMITHFIELD, MONROE COUNTY, AMENDING CHAPTER 107, FIREWORKS DISPLAYS, ESTABLISHING DEFINITIONS AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF CONSUMER AND DISPLAY FIREWORKS, INCORPORATING THE APPLICABLE STATE LAW AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.

A copy of the full text of the above-referenced ordinance is available for review at the Township offices, the Monroe County Law Library, and the offices of this newspaper during normal business hours. All interested parties are invited to attend the above-referenced public hearing.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County, PA, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Middle Smithfield Township building located at 147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg, PA 18302. The purpose of the hearing is to consider testimony and evidence and receive public comment on the Conditional Use Application of Mt. Nebo Apartments, LLC for the property located at 29 Mt. Nebo Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, consisting of Monroe County PIN No. 09732300826052.  The Applicant, in accordance with Chapter 200, Zoning, Sections 044-020.B.(B2), 043-010, and 084-020, and Attachment 3, of the Middle Smithfield Township Code of Ordinances, filed a Conditional Use Application and is requesting approval to proceed with an apartment complex dwelling use on the above-referenced property, which is located within the C-1 Zoning District. Copies of the application and supporting documentation are available at the Township building located at 147 Municipal Drive East Stroudsburg PA, during normal business hours.  The Board of Supervisors will consider testimony and evidence at the above-referenced August 10, 2023 public hearing and may take action on the same at that time.  All interested parties are invited to attend the above-referenced public hearing.
