NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
PROPOSED MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE 2022
The Middle Smithfield Township Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 PM on January 27, 2022, at the Schoonover Municipal Center located at 147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg PA 18302, on the proposed Middle Smithfield Township Comprehensive Plan Update 2022, dated July 19, 2021, last revised November 18, 2021 (“Proposed Plan”). The purpose of the Public Hearing is to inform the public about the Proposed Plan, to allow for and obtain public comment on the Proposed Plan, and for the Board of Supervisors to consider and possibly adopt by resolution the Proposed Plan. Public comment and participation at the Public Hearing is welcome. The Proposed Plan highlights the Township’s vision for the next 10 years in Middle Smithfield Township.
Members of the public can view the Proposed Plan on the Middle Smithfield Township website at: www.middlesmithfieldtownship.com. A complete and true copy of the Proposed Plan is on file and may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge no greater than the cost of reproduction, by the public at the Middle Smithfield Township Municipal Building located at 147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Public Hearing will be an item on the Board of Supervisor’s regular meeting agenda being held the same date, time, and location as the above-referenced Public Hearing. The Board may consider, take action on, and pass a resolution approving and adopting the Proposed Plan at its regular public meeting on January 27, 2022, subsequent to the conclusion of the Public Hearing on the Proposed Plan. Copies of the full text of the proposed Resolution and Proposed Plan are available at the Township offices and the offices of this newspaper during normal business hours. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing and meeting.
